Question: Brittle Hair

I have very dry brittle hair that breaks quite easily. What treatments should I be using?

Answer

Hello

Firstly you need to consider whether your hair has been chemically treated with colour or any other product and how often this is done. There are different reasons as to why you would need certain treatments. Protein treatments would be for fine hair that is generally considered caucasian and is highlighted often, moisture treatments are generally for hair that is curly, frizzy or naturally wavy and then there are treatments that cover other fields such as colour, chemical and heat protection. The best way to source out what would be best for you would be to find out which of the above categories you fall under. You may need a protein treatment but if your hair is curly you will need a moisture treatment and probably regular trims to keep it looking healthy.
