Question: Can Using Waterproof Mascara That Is Difficult To Remove Properly Lead To Eye Infections?

Can using waterproof mascara that is difficult to remove properly lead to eye infections?

Answer

Hi Bronwyn,

Yes it can because it can contaminate the eye with old product that has been out in the open for too long if that makes sense. Your eyes are so sensitive to all things around it and when it’s exposed to products that had a chance to collect germs or dust, it can become irritated and sore. If you mascara is not removed properly it becomes a breeding field for everything around you from the fluff on your linen to the germs on your hands so try and remove it as thoroughly as possible when you are doing your cleansing routine.
