Firstly, are you straightening your hair on a regular basis, because if you are you might want to consider moisture masks to try at home and get your hair’s natural bounce back. This might seem like pointless info, but if your hair has a natural bounce then it will hold a better curl when you use your ghd. What you can try using is a heat protecting product instead of just a curling cream or spray. You don’t want to over-do it with the product and my first guess would be to get the hair healthy. A curling product that will also help is the Foxy curls from TIGI or the Curl enhancing cream from Moroccan Oil. Both are excellent styling aids, but will need the use of an extra heat protectant.
