Question: Feel The Burn

Strength training - I like to do weighted squats and lunges (my favourites) with a 10kg sand bag. And at times I will add the step. I just wanted to know, when it comes to "feeling the burn", how long should you let it "burn" for? When should you release? I hope my question is clear :-)don't know how else to explain it...


Weighted squats and lunges are great exercises. In terms of building muscle and ‘feeling the burn’, your sets should be hard enough that you struggle with your last few reps on your third set. Any pain you experience should never be acute.
