Question: HelioCare Sunscreen

I have been using the HelioCare SPF 50 Gel because I was told it is for oily and blemish prone skin which I have. But recently (about a month or so), my skin has become dehydrated with some dry patches. It has just recently got so much better (moisturised and hydrated). No more dry patches and the redness is almost gone. The itchiness has subsided and the flakiness is gone. My skin is still a bit dry though on the cheeks, chin. Nose area is normal. Forehead is oily. Would you recommend I continue with the HelioCare Gel SPF 50 or do you think I should use something for dryer skin (within in the HelioCare range if they cater for such)?

Answer

Heliocare is a really brilliant brand. Quite a few patients find that with seasonal changes they have to also change between the various forms of sunblocks and moisturisers to best support their skins. So absolutely, you can happily change to a more appropriate product within the brand if you are happy with it.
