Question: I Am Never Sure If The Base Colour That I Am Choosing Is Correct. The Artificial Light Makes It Look Different To Natural Light. How Do I Ensure I Get The Right Colour?

I am never sure if the base colour that I am choosing is correct. The artificial light makes it look different to natural light. How do I ensure I get the right colour?

Answer

Two words…Colour Striping. It is the most vital element when choosing a foundation. Start off by choosing three foundation colours that are closest to your skin tone, apply a stripe of each colour vertically on your lower cheek area. There after determine which one matches your skin tone. Wipe the other two away, blend the correct one in and there you have it.
Always remember to determine whether you have a pink skin tone or a yellow one – there’s nothing worse than getting the two mixed up.
As for the artificial light there is no way around it when purchasing a foundation in a retail store, however, coming from one of these well known retailers myself I can assure you that the ladies are trained professionals and they would help you chose the perfect colour for you with pleasure. Stay beautiful…..Indulge yourself
