Thank you for this question… In truth there is a double answer here. Yes, and no. Waxing does temporarily sensitize the skin above the eyelids when waxing the eyebrows, so, if this is not managed correctly, one can develop hyperpigmentation of “discolouration” of the skin in that area. So using the appropriate after care and ensuring that you are wearing a good SPF on a daily basis is vital. If however, your skin is not properly prepped and supported during the waxing procedure, the skin can be damaged as a result of incorrect support and technique. For this reason, it is vitally important that you have these procedures done at a clinic where you know that you are going to be receiving quality service by fully trained skin care professionals.
