Answer

Hi Tessa
When it comes to the ingredients in make-up there are so many that can cause irritation to very sensitive skins. Some of these ingredients are the following: Parabens, Petrolatum, Mineral Oils, Propylene Glycol or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Most make-up products contain these and do not usually cause reactions. If you are still eager to use make-up try using either powder foundation as I find this normally doesn’t cause a reaction. Or even opt for a silicone based make-up. As silicone doesn’t penetrate the skin but it rather creates a barrier over the surface of the skin. So try a silicone primer before applying your foundation. Also make absolutely sure that the make up you are using is not past it’s shelf life and that you are applying with clean sponges and brushes.
