Since I turned 30 my nails have become a lot weaker and more keep splitting. Are there any supplements you can recommend or any other fix? I heard that using nail polish a lot can help, is this true?


Hi Alice, thank you for your question. Brittle nails is usually an indicator of iron deficiency. Red meat is a good source of iron as well as dark leafy greens and beetroot. Make sure you consume foods rich in Vitamin C that will facilitate the absorption of iron into the bloodstream. I always recommend consulting with a physician as any nutrient deficiency can lead to more serious problems along the line if not addressed.
