Question: Question from AndreaM

Hi Lisa, I just wanted to know: is there a difference between a slimming shake like the G.I LEAN and USN protein shakes? Or are they the same?

Hi there! If you’re talking about the G.I Lean weight loss support shake, then it certainly is different. That is a meal replacement shake with a balance of carbs and proteins and added vitamins and minerals, whereas the USN protein shakes serve as a protein supplement only. All shakes needed to be regarded as separate entities, as they will all serve different purposes. Protein shakes are to support muscle rebuilding and repairing – typically used when you are on a high strength training programme and need to fuel your muscles adequately. A meal replacement shake serves to do just that – replace a meal with a healthy, balanced, calorie-counted alternative.
