Have your oral hygienist and physician check these for you which could most likely result in a cure. Peppermint oil as an oral supplement should be taken in a capsule form and not chewed. It may cause nausea and heartburn and some people are allergic to peppermint. It is not considered safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is usually prescribed for indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome, but otherwise has no further direct action on the breath. A peppermint mouthwash would be more effective for bad breath, but must never be swallowed.
