Question: Can dairy have a negative impact on the skin?

Do dairy products have a negative impact on the skin? I've heard speculation that acne can be linked to cow's milk.

Answer

Dairy products can most definitely have a negative impact on the skin. Inflammatory skin conditions such as Eczema, Dermatitis, Rosacea, Psoriasis; and hormonal skin conditions such as Acne and pigmentation are often linked to inflammatory damage to the gut lining. This inflammatory damage to the gut lining is worsened or even sometimes caused by dairy products. Eliminating dairy from the diet and repairing the gut has a very beneficial impact on all of these skin conditions and will cause major improvement or often even resolution of the problem. A lot of people are intolerant or even allergic to dairy products and dairy will cause major damage to the intestinal linings of these individuals, but it could also do damage even when there is no allergy or intolerance. The reason for this is the way that milk is produced on modern dairy farms. The process of Pasteurization heats milk to a very high temperature for a significant period of time, which kills all the germs in there, but it also destroys all the natural enzymes in milk and denatures (damages) the protein found in dairy. Casein in particular becomes an inflammatory food after the process of Pasteurization. If you suffer from any of the above mentioned skin conditions, consider eliminating dairy from your diet and consult a Health Renewal doctor for gut restoration.
