It is just the nature of the dark skin types as the lips are so vascular and the skin on the lips is different to that on the rest of our face. It’s quite tricky to treat, but to be honest, the most successful treatments, believe it or not, are having permanent make-up done on the entire lip area to get the lips to be 1 colour. Permanent make-up has evolved amazingly with new pigments and new techniques and I’ve seen lips look beautifully matched with natural colours and you would never say that the mouth has been tattooed!
