Question: Question from Maura

I know I need to drink more water, but are the other ways to include more water in your diet without drinking it?

Answer

Hi, Maura. I am afraid the short answer to your question is no. Water is absolutely essential to so many important processes in our bodies, we simply cannot be healthy without a good water intake. The only way to get enough water into your body is to drink it. The moment you add anything to water, such as tea, coffee, food or anything else for that matter, your kidneys have to work harder to process it, and it no longer counts as water intake. Try your best to drink two litres of clean, filtered water daily.
