Hi there! First – find your passion. Is it helping individual clients, speaking on stage or writing informative articles? Then, study accordingly. It doesn’t have to be accreditation focused, but it must target improving your skills and experience in your fields of interest. The wellness industry undergoes daily metamorphosis and keeping current is critical. Then – start networking. Surround yourself with others in the industry, follow their advice and learn from their habits. All businesses are based on the notion of creating something out of nothing. Make it happen! Build a network of people in the industry and volunteer your services/expertise/written work for free. You may have to see clients for free, submit articles without pay, start an internship in any wellness-related work environment, or spend time on a blog without material rewards, but walking the talk and building a portfolio are valuable tools for future growth.
