Question: Struggle With Hormonal Breakout

Hi Dr Maurreen. I am 22 years old now and never suffered from breakouts in my life! I'm blessed with good skin but I stopped taking birth control at the end of January and from the end of March I had a lot of breakouts. I know it's because of my hormones but when will this end? Will it ever clear up? I heard scary stories of women that struggles now with acne because they went off the pil.I am not going back on the pil but what else can i try to get rid of my breakouts? Its on my forehead, chin and sides of my cheekarea.I am washing my face day and night, taking really good care of my skin and im using dermalogica products since last year now. When will it go away?I am not used to this.please help.

Answer

This is quite a common occurrence for ladies who come off the pill. If you’re on good products and taking care of your skin, as it would appear you are, then I would suggest just adding something to help you from the inside. I would highly reccommend you get yourself some Acnevelle Tablets (they are made by Lamelle), and that should sort out the problem fairly quickly.
