Question: Sun Exposure

I have a light skin, every time I'm in the sun I burn red and just more freckles, Is there a product that I can use to tan without burning?

Answer

Thank you so much for your question. I’m afraid I may not give you the answer you are looking for. Firstly, a tan, means that your skin has been radiated by UVA. So yes, there are sunblocks out there that protect you from UVB only, and yes, you wont burn… but you will tan, and you will age the skin prematurely, and unfortunately, if you have the tendency to get freckles, then you will freckle (maybe not as severely as if you had actually burnt, but as you get older, your freckling will get worse and worse). My advice is, rather protect your skin and rather use artificial tanning products… you will be glad you did when you get older!
