How to take your ponytail to the next level

The easiest way to get your hair out of your face is to simply tie it up into a ponytail. We sometimes become lazy with the traditional hair tie. Why not spice up your look with one of the below styles the next time you want to get your hair up and away?

1. The wrap-around pony
Simply tie your hair up and leave a piece of hair out from the bottom of your pony. Wrap this piece around your pony (where the elastic band is) and secure with a pin.

2. The multi-ponytail
A hot trend stolen straight from the runway! This is a style that may be a bit more daring for a few and it only really works well on long hair. Simply tie the hair up and then section off the next area below and tie another hair tie. Repeat until you create three or more sections, making sure you have even spaces in between each “bubble.”

3. The high plait
Something quick and quirky to create that is perfect when you’re meeting the girls for a brunch. A high pony is all you need – then, create a plait and simply secure at the bottom.

4. Side parting wavy pony
We love this gentle wavy look. If you don’t have naturally wavy hair, you can always plait wet hair and let it dry. This will create that soft wave in the hair. Simply part your hair to one side and tie it loosely and voilà!

  1. It’s amazing how quick you can change your style with so little effort and it makes a huge difference. I am definitely going to try some of those.

  2. I like the multi-ponytail because I have very long hair. It’s actually perfect for gym and yoga so that it stays out of my face and there isn’t any annoying swishing around when I jump around.
