Round
Try to avoid straight cut and thick fringes – this type of fringe accentuates the fullness of a round face. A thick side-swept fringe that’s preferably layered from short to long (or cut at an angle) works best as it creates definition and makes the face appear slimmer.
Heart
Heart-shaped faces are known for their beautiful, full cheekbones. Accentuate them with a heavy fringe that’s cut bluntly. Be sure to keep it long (just below the eyebrows is perfect) to draw all attention to the apples of your cheeks.
Square
Square faces are angular and have a very strong jaw line. A wispy, feathered fringe or one that is bluntly chopped is best suited as it softens the face and its features.
Long
A long face usually has either a strong forehead or a strong chin. Balance it with a side-fringe that extends all the way to the outer corner of your eye, or even to your ear.
Oval
This face shape really allows you to play with all sorts of fringes, as you’re not wearing a fringe to accentuate or distract from any particular feature. Play around with different lengths and textures until you find the one you love the most.

I don’t think the fringe suits people with long faces that much
I’m not sure which face shape I have, but I have the sharp, blunt fringe and I love it. It makes my eyes and other features just pop.
I appreciate the information. I now know which face shape is best for my round face and it’s awesome!
