Trend alert: Glitter roots

glitter-roots-hair-trend

It’s taken the Internet by storm. Pinterest boards and Instagram accounts are glittered out with this new trend. It’s a quick fix for people who colour their hair all shades of the rainbow and can’t keep up with touch ups as often as they’d wish.

But, we really like it and think it’s a pretty trend to try out. With the festive season coming up, we bring you some of our favourite pictures to ogle over. Celebrities including Miley Cyrus and Lucy Hale have also been seen rocking this look.

Use glitter from the party store along with a drop of your favourite hair oil – you can create this look in a matter of seconds. We love the look of a middle parting with the glitter sprinkled down the middle, covering the roots. But there are no rules, so go mad!

Only thing is – we want to know how one gets this out when done. Anyone tried it?

To be honest no this is not for me, it looks a bit childish and messy if you ask me.i’ll stick to my natural clean brunette hair :)

I absolutely love bling but even this is a bit much for me. I guess if it suits the occassion then it’s ok.

I think it looks like candy that fell in the hair and it looks messy. The gold ones look glamorous though. I think this colour glitter is only okay if you are going to a festival.

I like the single line of gold glitter , the others just don’t look right , they belong in eyeshadows

Personally I dont like them and I imagine the glitter will transfer to the face and clothing as well
