Kate Middleton’s wedding make-up

Wednesday, 5 October 2011

The Royal Wedding is done and dusted, but now, as the days go on, more and more info is coming out in regards to EXACTLY which products Kate wore on her big day.

Following royal tradition, Katie did her own bridal make-up, just like the Queen. Apparently she got a few make-up lessons beforehand from a make-up artist called Arabella Preston, but applied it all herself on the day.

So, what did Katie wear?

As it turns out, she’s a bit of a Lancome girl and, to even out her skin, she used Lancome Teint Miracle foundation. It makes use of something Lancome call Aura-Inside technology to reflect light around your face, helping to create a flawless-looking complexion.

To make her eyes pop, she applied a few slicks of volumising Lancome Hypnose mascara. (Gotta say, this is my favourite mascara too. It creates thick, luscious, longer-looking lashes without a drop of clumpage…)

Her nail colour, which had to look gorgeous considering the infamous close-up they’d get, was created especially for her; a mix of Bourjois Rose Lounge and Essie Allure.

Kate’s wedding day mani – this is the best close-up we could find.

As for her fragrance, she applied a few spritzes of Illuminum White Gardenia Petals; a mix of coconut, jasmine, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang and amber wood.? It’s not available in South Africa and, naturally, its now completely sold out…

What do you think of Kate’s make-up? Did she do a decent job?
