The CC Cream that will change your life

Thursday, 29 October 2015

First the whole BB cream craze hit our shores, then it was onto CC creams. There have been some good ones, and some not so good ones. We have never really been blown away by one that we would spend our hard earned savings on. That was until we tried out the Chanel CC Cream.

Here’s why

It offers 5 actions in one simple step:

1. Corrects
With a complex of Prunus persica peach extract, which is an anti-ageing ingredient specific to Chanel, it helps fight fine lines and wrinkles and defends against pollutants.

2. Soothes
It contains a marine extract that offers comfort to the skin.

3. Moisturises
It’s infused with Hyaluronic Acid, so your skin’s optimal hydration levels are retained.

4. Protects
It has an SPF 50, which is really incredible, especially for the South African sun – we should be wearing this factor daily.

5. Perfects
The special pigment reduces redness, dark spots and signs of large pores and leaves you with a fresh, natural look.

This CC cream can be used alone for moderate coverage or as a primer before applying your powder.

What we say:
“I am totally blown away by the texture, colour and feel of this product! It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, even and happy. And best of all it has an SPF 50 so this is all I apply in the morning.”

Hefty price tag but the SPF 50 is a big deal for me. I won’t be splurging on this anytime soon. Happy to stick to applying SPF50 followed by a tinted moisturiser or BB cream.

I haven’t used a CC cream before but wouldn’t mind doing so now! I always prefer a cream or product that has an SPF added to it!

I will have to try this out. Can anyone tell me the difference between a BB and CC cream?

I have tried a CC Cream from a different brand before. It was lovely but made my skin feel alittle oily.

I love the CC cream but have not tried this brand. The CC does give more coverage than the BB but still less than a foundation which is amazing for weekend wear as well as daytime. Allows you to have an even skin tone without the caked on look
