The most reviewed lipsticks of 2013Lipsticks, balms and glosses aren’t necessary to your overall make-up look, but it sure has a way of brightening up your skin and eyes when you find a shade suited to your complexion! Read on to see which five lip products received the most reviews from our Beauty Addicts this year.

1. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Stain Balm
Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain leaves a gorgeous flush of colour with the moisturising comfort of a balm – in one step. This balm stain gives a tint of colour and soft shine, for that just-kissed look, in a portable, self-sharpening chubby crayon.

What you said:
“The staying power is amazing, really long lasting. Once set, it doesn’t transfer onto things like certain lipsticks do.”

2. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter
ColorBurst Lip Butter has beautiful shiny colour combined with a buttery balm to give baby soft, healthy glowing lips. It’s a medium coverage colour with a high shine finish.

What you said:
“I love the packaging because it is easy to open and even though they all have different colours outside, there is also a glass at the top which shows the lip butter colour.”

3. Maybelline Super Stay 14hr Lipstick
No dragging, no drying, no let-downs – meet Maybelline’s new 14-hour lipstick. The Super Rich Colour lipstick has incredible staying power and an almost weightless formula.

What you said:
“This matte lipstick doesn’t leave lips all dry and uncomfortable but rather leaves lips feeling light and like there isn’t anything there at all.”

4. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer
It’s the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. It’s neither a lipstick nor a gloss… It’s bigger than both! Long live the colour! Rimmel Apocolips is available in eight shades.

What you said:
“If long lasting colour and a sexy glossy look is what you’re looking for, then this gloss is most definitely for you.”

Hi Alma. We are not sure why Maybelline discontinued the Colourstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick. We suggest contacting them to find out if they will be releasing a replacement lip product. If you contact them on Facebook, they usually respond within 24 hours.

The Colourstay Ultimate liquid lipstick was wonderful. Why has it been discontinued and will Maybelline bring out something to replace it? Please do!

I love the Revlon lip butter for daily wear. It’s very moisturising on the lips. But be careful not to keep it in your car or pocket because it melts and breaks very easily.
