  1. I bought this product about a week ago as part of a cute gift set tin. I love that this product can be used as a cheek stain as well as a lip stain, my skin however already has a red undertone so I don’t use it as a cheek stain, but have used it everyday as a lip stain.

To use as a lip tint: Dip the brush into the bottle and “paint” lightly onto your lips.

You will be left with a soft rosy stain, that does not leave any type of residue on your lips, a balm can be put on top of this product after a few minutes.

In conclusion, this is my go to lip product, as I do not like lip sticks as they tend to be sticky and drying and do not last as long as this stain. The product does have quite a hefty price tag but will last a long time so don’t be put off. A small trial tint is also available for around R175 at Edgars.

  2. I’ve been looking for a replacement for Revlon’s Just Bitten lip stains since they switched away from the roller ball applicator. I really wanted to love this, but it simply does not last on the lips. It’s very hard to avoid streaky results on cheeks, though it does last there. For the price, I really expected better quality

  3. Naturally I have a strong cheek bone and love showing it off. When I was handed Benetint, I thought it was a joke, a complete sceptic. Bottles like Benetint only carry nail polish or nail treatment, oh! wait it is liquid. I was convinced it wouldn’t work as blush. To my surprise it left my cheeks with a natural rosy effect.

It has multiple uses, I have used as a lip colour, and I have used as an additional colour on my eye. Love, love love.

  4. When I first came across this product, truth be told I was a bit hesitant to try it. I am a dark skinned lady and I hardly use blush that’s red or pink. I tried it on my cheeks, clean skin , with primer…Boy was it RED!!! I was impressed by the deep pigment even though it didn’t really suit my skin tone. Then I tried it on my lips, and I absolutely love it as a lip tint. It stained my lips for almost 8 hours without me having to reapply it. Watch out though…on application, wait for it to dry a little before closing your mouth, it can stain your teeth if it’s still wet and gets on to your teeth. Overall, it’s a must have!

  5. If you try only one Benefit product, it has to be Benetint. This iconic lip and cheek stain has gained a cult following and with good reason. It lasts, and lasts, and lasts! I put a few layers on my lips as I find that the colour lasts me a good 5 or 6 hours before it starts fading, and on my cheeks, I’m good for the day. The bottle lasts really long as you don’t actually need a lot of product when using it and the packaging is so cute – it actually looks like a nail polish at first glance. I’m so excited that this brand is back in SA and will definitely be trying out some more of their products.
