What we say:
I love long-lasting products, especially when it comes to eye make-up. These days, I almost always wear long-lasting liner and eyeshadow, as when I don’t, I find half my make-up spread across my lower lids.

I have been using shade “Bronze,” and I love the metallic shimmering particles in it. My favourite thing about the product is the fact that it glides on so easily – I don’t have to rub or tug at my skin, as the colour simply wipes on no matter how gently I apply it. I usually apply two layers to intensify the colour, but even one layer provides enough colour to make an impact.

It promises eight hours of wear but mine lasts even longer and I would say it’s closer to ten or twelve hours. I’ve been wearing mine as eyeliner, but you can even cover your entire eyelid with it to create a bolder look.

Because it’s so easy to apply and it lasts so long, it’s become a new must-have in my make-up bag!

  1. These cream eyeshadow sticks are EVERYTHING! I own quite a few shades, but my favourite colour is Taupe, which is just a gorgeous matte medium-toned warm brown. This shade is perfect for smudging all over the lid and up into the crease, blending out the edges, and your eyeshadow is done. It’s my go-to look when I’m in a rush. These also make excellent bases on the eyelid if you want to apply a shimmery powder shadow on top and don’t want it moving or fading. They are true to their “long-wear” name… no creasing, no fading, no smudging. The twist-up stick packaging also makes them very easy to use and a great travel-friendly alternative to powder eyeshadows. I’m addicted to these… I just keep adding more colours to my collection because they are just that awesome!

  2. This product is just awesome when it comes to creating a smokey eye. I always use it for that daring look at night. It’s so easy to apply and very creamy, making it easy to blend. You should add this to your check list.

  3. Effortless and high impact, Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Violet Plum is a tug-free, easy to use formula that glides on to shade, define, smoke up and highlight your eyes. This do-it-all formula lasts for up to 8 hours without creasing, flaking or fading. In its eye-popping shade, this cream shadow stick is truly a stroke of genius! Simply swipe and you’re ready to go!

What I really love about this product is the way it has been packaged. In its convenient, sleek, adjustable tube, you will never have to battle to apply this product. Also, the colour is rich and intense, so all you really need is one application. This makes this cream shadow stick worth the time, money and effort.

The Violet Plum shade also has some shimmer to it which I really like. It adds sparkle to any makeup look.

In my opinion, this cream shadow will work great with green eyes. This shade is perfect for any night time makeup look.

  4. I am in love with Bobbi Brown’s classic cream eye shadow pots and decided to also try the cream shadow stick, thinking that it would be a very similar product. These are great because they can be used as an eyeshadow base or on its own.

Although the cream shadow stick is similar, it is not as good as the classic cream shadow pots in my opinion. The wearability is fine but there is some creasing on the lids if this product is worn alone rather as an eye shadow base. The pots on the other hand offer MUCH better setting on the eyelids, it actually dries very quickly so you have to work fast! The colour also does not fade and stays in place all day, literally!

The up-side to the stick is definitely the convenience of not needing to use a brush, but I think all considering I would rather stick with the original cream shadows.
