This creamy/powdery product is like to no other eye shadow I’ve ever tried! The texture is incredibly soft, smooth and easy to blend. The colours are very wearable and natural. I have Nr 2 (nude pink I think it’s called) and the Sparkle Grey colour, and I love them. If find it best to apply them with your finger tip…unless perhaps I just don’t have a brush soft enough to do justice to the softness of this product. Will definitely be buying more shades.
If pure elegant sophistication is what you are after, then this cream to powder eye shadow is just the ticket for you.
Its easy to apply and has a soft satin like texture. I tried the Rosewood shade which is a deep grey rose into brown colour that can be used during the day (1 layer) and at night (2 layers)
It is long lasting, having survived the Durban heat all day and is truly a ladylike colour.
Clarins’ new cream to powder eyeshadow combines the comfort and smoothing effect of a cream, with the long-lasting, fresh matte finish of a powder. I am loving the 01 – nude beige variant being a warm-toned nude base shade. Dermatologist- and ophthalmologist-tested is a plus. Easy-to-blend texture is perfect for any look. Ombre Matte contains a blend of soft focus pigments that lend flattering radiance to the eye area, making the often-tricky matte texture wearable for all. The little pots of colour are exceptionally versatile, lightweight and slim, they’re ideal for slipping into your makeup bag, and can be applied with a brush or finger tips. Clarins has also created the Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base, an opaque, flesh-coloured primer, apply a small amount to cover the entire lid. The hold and intensity of your eyeshadow is amazing when applied on top of the Eye Perfecting Base. I found that combining both products, I achieved the best results.
This is a great product to keep in your purse. Its quick and easy to apply and subtle enough for daily wear.
I am never a fan of cream-to-powder products, but this little eyeshadow has completely converted me. The cream to powder transformation is amazing! I love the silky texture of the cream when I apply it to my eyelid, and the powder texture it takes on once I’ve applied it is great as it blends wonderfully with my other eyeshadow shades. It lasts a really long time – when I get home after work it’s still perfectly in place. It doesn’t lie in the creases of my lid which is great. I have been using shade Nude PInk as a base, and have built my other shades on top of this. I think the Sparkle Grey shade would be the one suited to all skin tones, and that’s definitely on my wishlist.
