I have combination to oily skin, and when I went through a bout of bad oiliness and breakouts I used this moisturiser in conjunction with the Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash. I loved everything about this moisturiser – it’s thin and runny and has an almost gel-like consistency, which felt amazing and cooling on my oily skin. It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave any residue on my skin. I was able to easily layer an SPF and foundation on top of it and I didn’t experience clogged pores.
While using it I definitely noticed that my skin was less oily (which in turn helped reduce my breakouts a little bit). Though it didn’t clear my skin up completely, it definitely helped. I find this product works especially well in summer when the skin doesn’t need as much moisture and hydration as it does in winter.

I used this product over a short time period, in summer when my skin was abit oilier than normal. As I have used many other moisturisers in the range, It was a different experience. It was effective in reducing oiliness, and getting rid of breakouts at the time, however concentated as with other dermalogica products, hence only needed to use the product for a short time span. After my skin was ‘fixed’ tended to have the need to use more moisturiser as my skin felt abit drier..and my skin is more used to a richer moisturiser. In hindsight, May have worked better with a milder cleanser perhaps.
Every now and again when I have a little money left over at month end, this is the treat I opt for as it’s really worth every penny. Amazing oil control and leaves my face feeling sooth and healthy and looking fresh. I just love it!!
As far as oil free, light weight moisturisers go this is as light as it gets! I found it was fine for summer months when I combined it with a hydrating sunscreen, but my combination skin needs a little more moisture than what this cream has to offer.
I would recommend this for very oily skin rather than combination skin. There are better (and cheaper) alternatives out there for combination skin.
