I was quite excited to try the new Dove Pure Care Dry Oil for mature hair.
At first, the contents felt a little thick in the palm of my hand and I thought it may not apply very easily to my damp hair. None-the-less, I applied as directed and to my surprise I found it to be quite soft and gentle and very workable. And when blowdrying my hair it was amazing to see that this product actually “settles” my hair, i.e. no frizziness and no oily residue.
What I also love about this product is that there is no need to wash my hair the next day, as it maintains the style and silkiness.
Would I buy this product again? Without a doubt!

A truly great product by Dove. Slightly pricey for the Dove brand but as you only use 3-4 drops at a time, its going a long way. It leaves the ends silky smooth and still totally manageable for styling. Be sure not to apply above mid-length though or anywhere near the roots as like any hair oil it will weight the hair down. Best feature of the product compared to its competitors? Its completely grease-free leaving no oily residue on your hands or hair. Perfect all year round
This is a lovely product.
I put aside my usual hair oils to try the dove pure care oils and it’s amazing. I use it before and after shampoo and conditioner. Whenever I feel like I used too much heat on my hair…I run to it. Dove has never disappointed.
