I have never come across a foundation in an aerosol can until now, and when I first heard of it, I thought it would be quite strange to use. I couldn’t imagine using foundation in any other way than I have been doing up until now – as a liquid that runs out of a bottle. I felt like a real amateur when I tried it the first time, but to my surprise, I actually managed pretty well.
The key is to shake the can well before you apply – if you don’t, the product separates (as I discovered) and doesn’t blend very well. I sprayed it with caution, allowing only a few small spritzes at a time, and I found that that was the best way in which to apply it. I patted the product onto my skin with a little sponge until it blended perfectly. To my delight, it had a flawless finish. No streaking, no “cakey-ness” and no mess. I have a couple of sun spots on my nose, and these were completely invisible under the foundation, yet my skin didn’t look like I was wearing a lot of make-up at all.
It lasted all day long – in fact, all night too. It was only once I removed my make-up before bed that the foundation budged under the potency of my oily make-up remover.
There is a variety of shades available so no matter how fair or how deep your skin tone, you’ll find a colour suited to you. Thanks to the longevity of the product, the easy (and fun) application process and the beautiful finish, I am completely sold on this.
