Anyone who knows me knows that I cannot live without my nail polish collection. If I had to choose between a life without chocolate or nail polish, I would definitely give up chocolate!
My nail polish collection is mostly made up of drug store brands, excluding a few high-end polishes that were either a gift or a great bargain! That being said, if I find a good bargain on high-end polishes, chances are I’ll end up leaving the shop with a new polish to add to my collection!
And that is how a Givenchy nail polish made it into my collection… The shade I got is a gorgeous grey-toned lavender called Lilas D’Exception 10. It is the perfect balance of the two shades and as a result it is suitable for both summer & winter.
While the packaging of this nail polish oozes sophistication and just plain beautifulness, I was slightly disappointed with the brush. I like a brush that is wide & flat so that I can perfectly coat my nails in one stroke. I found the Givenchy brush to be too “fat” and the edge was uneven which bothers me as it makes it difficult to get a clean line close to the cuticles.
The polish has good lasting power and it has a dries to a high shine, so brush bother aside, I would purchase other nail polishes from the same range.
