Nail lacquers rank quite highly on my list of favourite beauty products. My collection is made up of tried and tested brands, so I am always skeptical to try out new brands. My reasoning for this is that I have found the formulas that work for me, so why try something new?
Well, I was pleasantly surprised with the GOSH nail lacquer. The shade that I tried, 008 Berry Me, is a gorgeous deep purple / red that, in the bottle, looked quite pigmented. I am pleased to report that the colour stays highly pigmented when applied. Even after one layer it was quite pigmented, but I always apply to layers – personal preference.
The formula isn’t too runny nor is it too thick; in fact it was just the right consistency for easy application. The brush is slightly thicker than some of the other brands I have, but I found that this just made the application even easier.
I haven’t had the nail lacquer on for long enough to report back on its lasting power, but I will report back soonest. I may have already had a sneaky look online to see what other shades are available and I will definitely be getting a few more shades to add to my collection!

I discovered GOSH cosmetics when I was at Edgars the one day and saw that they had a lot of their items on sale. I am usually apprehensive to try makeup that I haven’t heard of, so instead, I picked up two nail lacquers in really unique colours: a muted grey-green and a peach colour. When I tried out the nail lacquers, I was so impressed I went back for a gold one and a silver colour.
The only require one coat (if you apply it well) and they look even more amazing with two coats. The colours dry very fast and I received so many compliments when I wore the muted green colour.
The metallic colours (such as the gold and silver) only require one coat. They apply so well that it’s actually difficult to remove, as it’s quite thick and the glitter is difficult to remove.
The standard GOSH nail lacquers have a very shiny coat once dry and settle very smoothly onto the nails. I’m so impressed with them and they are my go-to nail polishes to use.
