What we say:
A huge fan of the smokey eye, I often blend shades of brown, grey and charcoal together to get the perfect smokey eye look. As I’m very fair-skinned, I tend to stick to brown and purple smokey eyes rather than black, as it is a bit too harsh for me. I was eager to try this palette from GOSH (in shade #Brown) as it contains four shades, which makes the smokey eye application super easy.
The little insert shows which colour should be placed on which part of the eye, making it easy even for those of us who aren’t familiar with applying eyeshadow. I followed the guidelines, as was very happy with the end result. The colour is soft and velvety in texture, making it easy to spread across the skin. Plus, it’s very blend-able, so you can really get the colours to melt into each other. I was a bit disappointed that the shadow didn’t last on my lids all day, as I noticed by late afternoon that it had faded quite a bit. All-in-all a great product, but keep it in your purse for touch-ups after lunch.

I tried the GOSH Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette, and what I noticed is that the colours in this palette are very versatile and can transform into more than one look. I love the fact you get four shades and they can be used individually or as one collective look. When I applied it, I found it easy to blend and mix. I could create a perfect smokey look for a night out! I find the colour to be strong in pigmentation and each colour has a slight shimmer to it, creating a bright smokey eye with a subtle sheen. The fact that they include a small guide on how to apply eyeshadow is a great bonus!
