  1. I got this nail polish from my bestfriend as she knows that im a huge fan of nail polish. I applied it AND I WAS REALLY impressed with its longevity. I had it for a week without any chirping, i told my friend that its a must have in my collection of other brands of nail colors. Thank you Inglot for this diamond.

  2. This product was not very effective. It chipped very easily and it did not glide on easily onto the nails. This product is meant to allow water and oxygen to pass through it, allowing your nails to retain its good condition while they are painted. I liked the packaging as it comes in a nice big bottle, which is a good size to pop into your handbag for touch-ups. However, the consistency of the polish is very watery. You have to build up the colour by applying several coats, which is not what you want from a polish.

  3. The Inglot Breathable Nail Enamel is available at R169 for 11 ml of product. This range offers a wide variety of shades with many different reds, pinks and purples, besides all of the other basic colours, so you will definitely find one that you like.

The packaging is pretty average. It is just a small glass bottle, but it comes with an uncomfortable brush. I never like thin long brushes, as they always apply streaky, and you need to work much more precisely to not end up looking like a 2-year-old painted your nails. Lasting power was good, with a decent base and top coat. I got around 6-days worth of chip-free wear.

This nail polish isn’t terrible, but considering the fancy polymers, promises of oxygen and water permeability, it really wasn’t anything special. I would rather use this money and spend it on OPI nail polish.

  4. I was given a pale dove grey breathable nail enamel as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. I am obsessed with nail products and have 2 drawers at home filled with polishes, gel polishes, cuticle care products etc.

I did not like this nail polish at all – even though I still have it in my drawer, I’ve given it 2 tries and won’t touch it again. The brush is too long and you can’t control it well, and the bristles come off it into your nail polish. The polish also bubbled badly (possibly because it had been kept in a hot environment prior to purchasing). The application was not nice either, as it was very streaky and even 3 coats wasn’t enough.

I was prepared to give the Inglot nail enamels in general another try though. I bought 2 of their regular nail enamels, and had exactly the same problems.

I would much rather purchase good quality brands such as OPI or Essie, or even Revlon.

  5. I love the range of colours available in this collection from Inglot – I’ve been using this pretty shade 683 and it works wonderfully for summer. I find that the first layer applies a bit funny – it separates a bit on my nails and doesn’t cover the surface evenly. However, the second layer I apply on top spreads perfectly and covers the open spots. It lasts a good four days too.
