I am a Lancome addict. Especially with their mascara’s. I have tried the entire Lancome mascara range and my best one is Hypnose Drama. But then I tried this one. I now have two favourites. This one is very beautiful to look at. The bottle is very unusual to any other mascara and the same goes for the wand shape. It has a ‘swan’ neck that allows you to reach into the corners of the eye and the areas your usual mascara won’t. I love that it coats each individual lash and gives my eyes a wide-open look. It comes out nice and black which is what I love. The only thing I can fault is that it dries very quickly, so if you want two layers you need to work very quickly.

I was very eager to try this mascara especially after reading the review, to my disappointment it did not live up to it Lancôme standard in my opinion.
The bottle is beautifully designed and you can feel the luxury of the product. The lid of the bottle fades from solid black to a clear glass like column which reveals the signature Lancôme rose impression in the centre.
The wand is swan like in shape which does assist in application of the product, the crème is smooth and fragrant and applies clump free. The applicator is similar to a comb with curved grooves. Grandiose does give definition and length beautifully, better than any of their other mascara’s as it doesn’t clump lashes however failed in the volumizing category and doesn’t live up to the high standard of the Hypnôse rage.
Unfortunately I won’t be spending R410 on this mascara. I would rather buy the Max Factor Masterpiece Glamour Extensions 3-In-1 Volume Mascara because it has the same result.
Disappointed but I think I will just stick with my Hypnôse Drama and Doll Eyes by Lancôme.
The specifically designed arm of the brush is curved to make it easier to apply mascara to the corners of your lashes. I love the mascara container, it is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. It coats each lash but I find that it dries very quickly so I cant always layer more on top of the first coat. There is no clumping however and it makes my lashes look long.

I love the applicator of this mascara it bend to easily apply your mascara and to get those small lashes at the bottom. It is quite pricey though.
