When applying my make-up, a primer is definitely the most important product in my routine. As I have combination/oily skin, without a primer my foundation doesn’t stick around as long as it should.
There are few primers that work really well for me and those are the ones that I will always repurchase. That being said, when a cosmetics brand I like launches a new primer, I’m always keen to try it. 80% of the time I am disappointed with the product and I return to my much-loved primers.
When given the chance to try the Lancôme La Base Pro Fluid primer I was eager to see if it would work. In my experience, high-end pricey products don’t always live up to their promise (or their price tag). I can happily report that this primer has surpassed my expectations and is now a firm favourite.
The packaging is classy in a simple glass pump action bottle, and the pump allows one to dispense the perfect amount of primer for a single application. The primer smoothes onto the skin effortlessly and blends instantly providing me with the perfect base for foundation application. I use a rather liquid foundation and I find that it blends perfectly with the primer for a finish that not only looks flawless but also lasts for most of the day.
If you are a fan of Lancôme products than this primer definitely won’t disappoint. I would highly recommend this primer and will most certainly repurchase it once I finish my current bottle.

I received this as a gift over Christmas so I have no idea how much it costs but WOW! Truly amazing. I’m a big believer in primer as I feel that it makes the world of difference to the way in which makeup is applied and the overall finish at the end of the day.
This primer is non greasy, gets absorbed quickly and a little definitely goes a long way. With one little pump I’m able to cover my entire face, creating the perfect canvas for my makeup.
