Bourjois ‘Little Round Pot’ Blush

Bourjois’ timeless blusher has been around for almost 150 years and have made them famous worldwide thanks to its great texture and packaging. The baked texture transforms when applied to the skin into an ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of the rose scented powder. Its built-in mirror and brush is perfect for touch-ups on the go.

  1. Bourjois has become one of my favourite products. I came across their products at my local Clicks about two years ago and I have loved the brand ever since. Their ‘Little Round Pot’ blushes are a must have for me. Their highly pigmented and are easily blendable. They come in a variation of colours for light to dark skin tones. I use their medium pink and orange colours. I love using these blushes when I don’t have time to put on any eyeshadow, but still want a finished makeup look. I also use their soft pink colours to highlight my cheekbones. They come with a cute little blush brush and mirror for on-the-go users or if you just want to touch up at work.

  2. Lets start with the positives!
I adore the packaging of these pots, they are small and compact. I love that the colour of the pots are inspired by the colour of the blush product inside. The little mirror inside is a nice touch but in no way functional just because it’s so tiny. The brush… I personally didn’t use.

The product itself comes in the most beautiful shades, I own two of the 12 shades in the line. It smells quite “perfumey” so if you know this is a characteristic you do not enjoy in make-up this may not be for you.

When using these blushers for the first time they worked pretty well, soft and subtle in colour as they are not hectically pigmented. This i think would be quite nice for those who enjoy a very natural day-to-day look.

The next time I reached for them experienced “hard pan”, I would swirl and swirl my brush and none of the colour would transfer. Ever since then I have been wiping the top of the product with a tissue which then seems to reactivate the product. Due to this I have not been reaching for them as often as I would like.

In my opinion these are quite pricey for a blusher that doesn’t perform 100% every time.

  3. A high quality, budget-friendly blush which works just as good as the high end stuff. It’s quite pigmented with a very subtle shimmer, which is a good thing if you are not into overly shimmery blushes which look very unnatural. Will repurchase.

  4. This is the first Bourjois product I have purchased, and I am truly impressed. I bought the colour 95 – Jasper Rose (from Clicks), and I adore the golden-pink colour with the subtle shimmer. It’s very pigmented and is easy to blend, with its fine, soft texture. The packaging is absolutely adorable. I love the magnetic closing mechanism and the little mirror in the lid is fab. It’s definitely going to be the blush I pack for going on holiday because of these factors. I will certainly be purchasing more colours and look forward to trying other products from this range.

  5. I discovered this inexpensive little blush when a make-up artist in London used it on me – and I have been hooked ever since. The colour blends perfectly and the shimmer gives a bronzer type effect. It is perfect for highlighting cheekbones and adding a beautiful natural colour and glow. I love it!
