When it comes to face primers, I tend to switch between several primers depending on how my skin is feeling. I have quite oily skin at times, so I tend to mostly use silicone primers as I find they help my foundation to stay put better than water based primers do.
While browsing the isles of Clicks, I noticed the L’Oréal Lumi Magique Primer and decided to give it a go. As far as drug store brands go, L’Oréal is by far one of my favourite as I have always found their products to be great value for money.
On the primer bottle it states that the primer can be worn as a foundation base or alone. After the first application I knew that I would not be wearing it alone. While it gave my skin a natural looking “glow,” it didn’t smooth out my pores or even out any redness.
That being said, once I had applied my BB cream, I was very impressed with the way my skin looked. It is a great primer for days when I don’t want to wear a heavy foundation as it blends perfectly with my BB cream for a perfect “no make” make-up look.
I may not use this primer every single day, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a primer that will brighten the complexion.

I found this primer quite runny, and white, compared to my usual clear or yellow primers. I quite liked the glow it gave my skin. I find that it applies well, and smoothly.
