Mavala 002 formula prevents pigments in nail polish from coming in direct contact with the nail plate and also protects it from outside elements. It adheres to the nail plate and stays slightly sticky to allow nail polish to last almost twice as long.

Love this base coat, protects my nails and helps the topcoat stay on longer.
I’ve been looking for a good quality base coat but more importantly I was looking for ways in which i could improve the lifespan of my nail polish. I’ve used other brands of base coats but i was pleasantly surpirized with Mavala’s Super base coat. You can apply an “air” thin coat to the nails i.e. its not sticky, tacky or thick. Nail polish lasts about a week (using a good quality nail polish and top coat helps). Tiny quirk: I’ve found that the cap was extremely hard to open. I took it back to the store to return it but met with the Mavala consultant instead. She tapped the cap to the floor a few times and it opened.Amazing.
Since discovering this base coat, I have not used anything else – it is that good. It applies smoothly and dries almost instantly to provide the perfect base for any nail lacquer. I find that my nail polish lasts an extra 2 to 3 days without chipping when I use this base coat. It is a bit pricey, but it is a worth while investment!
