  1. These colours look catchy, I have been using two colours in Winter 311 Ivory beige, 240 Jasper, 103 Cobalt Blue. The richness on the Mavala product, is amazing like any other nail polish it will chip, and needs retouching but I have found Mavala better than the others. I love the convenience of the bottle size it can fit even in a smallest clutch in case you’re going out and want to touch up. Most times though a new product takes time before it becomes available to purchase would appreciate sample of these jellies. I love happy colours, tis the season anyway.

  2. I would love to compare “Happy Cherry” to “Robot Red” from Smudge. Smudge nail polish actually strengthened my nails – very impressed.

  3. I recently received the Mavala Jelly nail polish in Smily Orange. The bottle is rather tiny with a black cap. When I opened the bottle, I noticed the strong smell usually associated with nail polishes. The nail polish was very easy to apply and dried relatively quickly. I really loved the colour; it was more of a peach tone than a ‘Smily Orange’. I think the colour is beautiful and subtle enough to look great on any skin tone. The nail polish has a glossy effect that makes anyone feel like a movie star! A lot of my friends complimented me and said that the nail polish looks gorgeous on my nails. The nail polish started fading in about two days. I would have liked it if it would have lasted a bit longer. Overall, it’s a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a vibrant nail polish!

  4. I recently got the Mavala Jelly nail polish in “Jelly Grape”. It comes in a glass bottle with a screw top lid with the brush attached. Nothing too fancy. Opens quite easily. It smelt like regular nail polish, kinda acetone-y. This is a nail polish which was relatively easy to apply and once on the nails it felt superbly smooth almost like glass. It also dried quite quickly. I felt like the colour was quite flattering on my indian-y yellow skin tone and i received many compliments while wearing this. I feel like this is a wonderful product that worked well for me. It is suitable for almost any skin type and would probably be flattering on any skin tone. I think any one in any age group could use this. On me, it lasted for about 3 days before i noticed slight chipping which is actually quite good.

I like that this product feels amazing on and could suit so many skin tones. I definitely recommend this and would repurchase.

  5. I received the Sugar Berry shade of this nail polish which is a pink shade.
(The names of this range just sound so yummy!)

    Packaging
The bottle is only 5ml and noticeably smaller then most nail polishes. It is cute and pretty with its gold lid. The tiny bottle would put me off purchasing this over other nail polishes though. The flat ridges on the lid really help with grip.

    Application & Effect
This is a translucent effect nail polish so it is very subtle. It needs at least 2 coats to bring out the colour. Its great if you cant wear flashy colours and just want a hint of colour. But personally I like opaque nail polish and I didnt like that I could see my nails through it =/
The brush allows for an easy and mess free application.
It dries quite fast once applied with a nice shine.

    Longevity
This is one of the longest lasting nail polishes I have used and lasts at least 7 days.

    Price
I think it is a bit too pricey for the size of the bottle (5ml). Not something I would purchase as it is quite pricey and not the type of effect I like on my nails.

  6. This nail polish is really cute, comes in a very compact size & fits almost anywhere. The colour that I used was ‘282, Happy Cherry’. It appears to be a metallic cherry before application.

The size and packaging is really great! Compact and strong. It’s a 5ml bottle. The texture is perfect, very easy to apply and the purpose of the product is to give it a translucent and long lasting effect, which I admit it certainly does do. This colour works for anyone of any age. The first coat is very subtle once applied, however the second coat enhances the colour much more as well as the shimmer. Works well in water and went well beyond a week without any chipping so that was a major plus.

The only problem I had with this item is that it’s a bit too translucent for me as an individual. I would recommend this if you prefer nail polish that has more of a transparent look, rather than colour. The price of R72 is a bit too much as it comes in a rather small bottle. I wouldn’t purchase this specific range of the Mavala brand, however I am keen on trying their opaque range as the quality is amazing.

  7. I received the Mavala Jelly Effect nail polish in the shade Jammy plum to review. It comes in a really cute 5ml bottle. Because it is a jelly effect nail polish the product is quite sheer. I love that it dries really fast which prevents any unwanted smudging. Once dried the nail polish is smooth to the touch and shiny. It lasts really long compared to other nail polishes that i have tried before. I’m not a huge fan of this collection because the shades are a bit to sheer and i prefer more opaque colors.
