Created by the talented perfumers Guillaume Flavigny and Natalie Gracia-Cetto, Signature intermingles the sensuality of an enveloping vanilla with a contrasting “clean” facet of musks, creating an addictive, chic, deliciously feminine trail.

This floral-oriental-musky fragrance first seduces with its luminous clarity. The crystal-clear whiteness of musks in the base notes encounters a breath of floral peony, zested by sparkling clementine in the top notes. On the skin, the juice quickly reveals a more enigmatic and captivating facet. A voluptuous oriental vanilla rises majestically, escorted by an enchanting magnolia and sunny ylang-ylang middle note. Finally, an amber accord snuggled inside creamy benzoin provides the perfume’s soft and sensual side.

As a writer, the dream is always a Montblanc pen, right?! This brand has such a rich history and their dedication to their craft is visible not just in their writing instruments, but also in their fragrances. From the quality of the ingredients, to the design of the bottles and packaging, the attention to detail is immaculate. What I love most about Montblanc Signature is its unique blend of fruity, floral and creamy fragrance notes. It’s not overtly floral or fruity, and I wouldn’t even be sure how to classify it if I had to – which is exactly the quality of the woman who wears this fragrance.

Montblanc created this scent with unforgettable women in mind, and that translates strongly: it is versatile and lends itself to any situation. The fragrance is elegant and sophisticated, but it is simultaneously sensual and captivating, meaning I would wear it to the office or an event, yet I’d also spritz it on for date night. I don’t have a lot of fragrances in my arsenal that offer this kind of versatility.

Beautiful packaging never hurts and I absolutely adore this bottle. I love the ink pot shape (the writer in me cannot resist it!) and the white and gold colouring gives it such a timeless and classic look and feel.

Everyone responds to fragrance differently, and I believe that we each have a unique take on a scent. When I wear Montblanc Signature, I feel confident. Something about the scent leaves me feeling motivated, energised, and ready to take on the day’s challenges.

It is a timeless scent that won’t date, and I truly believe it is fit for all life stages – my mom and I both wear it, and we have a 30-year age gap between us.
