The top notes include orange blossom, basil, coriander, galbanum, peach and gardenia. The heart of this composition encompasses ylang-ylang, jasmine, tuberose, rose, rosemary, cyclamen, lavender and orchid. The base includes opoponax, carnation, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, lavender and amber. 1. Oscar by Oscar De La Renta is a classic and timeless fragrance that is right up there with the likes of Chanel No. 5. I remember my mother wearing Oscar and when I spritzed this for the first time after receiving it I was immediately flooded with memories of smelling this when I used to hug her.

The initial smell when this is spritzed is rather strong, however this settles nicely to a lovely mixture of patchouli and sandalwood with a touch of powdery musk.

The longevity of the Eau de Toilette surprised me. I got a solid couple of hours wear on this, whereas usually I find that Eau de Toilette’s don’t generally last that long compared to Parfums. Even at the end of the day there was still a hint of this fragrance left on my skin.

The bottle is sleek and sturdy, however I prefer the Eau de Parfum bottle when it comes to looks.

To me this is a highly sophisticated fragrance that radiates class. That being said I feel this fragrance is a little too mature for me personally at 29. I think I’ll love this even more when I’ve reached late 30s.
