As my skin is thankfully still wrinkle free; I was slightly sceptical as to what the serum could possibly do for me – I was in for a surprise!
My skin is extremely sensitive, so there is always the chance that it will react badly to a new skin care product. I applied the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Serum to freshly cleansed skin as per the instructions and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the serum was absorbed. My face did feel rather warm after applying the serum, as was mentioned on the packaging, however it wasn’t an uncomfortable warmth and it soon went away. My skin was velvety smooth after applying the serum and my moisturiser absorbed a lot faster than it usually does.
I have been using the serum religiously for two weeks now and I have noticed a considerable difference in the texture and appearance of my skin. With the cold weather here to say, I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing addition to my daily skin care routine.
Although the serum is quite pricey, I would highly recommend it; not only if you wish to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, but also if your skin is in need of an intense moisture boost.

So, as with all Kiehl’s products, this one is a little on the pricey side too. There’s a strong citrus fragrance, probably because of the high vitamin C content. I used the product as directed. Apart from feeling a warm tingly feeling on my skin, I didn’t really notice much of a difference. Perhaps I should purchase again during the winter months. Maybe then there’ll be a marked difference.
This is one heck of a serum and I love the warming sensation that you get when applying it to the face. Thats the Vitamin C ladies and let me tell you, this super serum tackles uneven skin tone, unsightly pores and pesky lines. I have been using this magical serum for 2 weeks now and I can say that I am truly impressed with the results! Used before my Midnight Recovery, the anti-aeging combo makes a world of difference. My skin is quite sensitive and I was worried about getting a reaction but I experienced nothing like that. Instead, my skin is glowing, clear and stunning! These products truly work and the fact that the sales ladies are so warm and welcoming makes the world of difference. This is a must buy!!

Thankfully i am not at the stage that I have to worry about lines and I don’t really need a moisture boost. But when I do reach that landmark this is good product to keep in mind.
I don’t know if mine is expired or has gone funny because it goes a bit runny when I pump out some product. I always store all my beauty products in my cupboard which is cool, dry and dark so I’m a bit concerned. Other than that, I really like how moisturising the product is, as for the lines, I have yet to notice any plumping of the skin.

I have tried a few of these serums recently but the Kiehls one is the only one I have tried that seems to work for any length of time, it does not sting or “tingle” like some, or make my skin tight and dry like others, and I know when I apply this serum to my frown lines I know they will be visibly reduced for most of the day which is exactly what I want from a product. I love the Kiehls line and am so pleased they have launched here in South Africa
Thanks Emily for this great review! I too have very sensitive skin that easily breaks out when I use new products but this serum sounds quite nice! The price is quite high but you really can’t complain if it works!
