  1. As a lipstick, i must say this was not food resistant or very effective, however i use mine as a lip tinter and while i do need to reapply fairly often, it feels amazing on my lips!

  2. When I purchased this lipstick, I purchased “Front Row” since I am fair and the colour pink compliments my skin. I’m not a huge fan of this lipstick because I find that despite its shape, it does not apply easily on my lips. When I first used this lipstick, I noticed that it did not blend smoothly onto my lips and made my lips seem chapped and dry. It did not look flattering at all.

  3. I love this lipstick by Revlon. Firstly, the shape of the lipstick is not the standard triangle that generally deteriorates in shape and you struggle to get it just on your lips (well I do anyway). It is flatter, which helps to keep the shape and makes it easier to apply. The lipstick itself really moistens the lips with no drying effect, while giving the most amazing colour to your lips. I also found the staying power of the lipstick is very good, even after having my morning coffee I still had colour on my lips.

  4. These lipsticks are nowhere new to the beauty shelves and I’ve had mine for quite some time. The ColorStay Ultimate Suede lipsticks are extremely long-lasting and very matte. At first I didn’t really like these lipsticks because they used to make my lips feel absolutely uncomfortable until I got used to them. You won’t really feel anything suede on your lips, however, if you exfoliate your lips often and you always use a very moisturizing lip balm, a few minutes after applying the lipstick, if you feel your lips, they feel amazingly soft and smooth.

The product has a cute packaging, which I find quite strong, the bottom barrel of the lipstick has the shade of the lipstick while the top part has a smooth velvet soft black barrel. The barrel has a hard, clear plastic cover, while the lid is also a hard plastic lid, which displays most of the lipstick.

The lipstick shade, 080 Fashionista, is a burnt red shade ,which has a soft shimmer and the lipstick doesn’t appear as dark on lips, so it needs two or three layers to look like the actual shade. After applying the lipstick, it needs a few minutes to set in and lips may feel slightly sticky or tacky. However, after pressing you lips against a tissue, the sticky feeling should go away.

I find these lipsticks extremely long-lasting and they last around 6 to 8 hours which I find impressive. I would really recommend you give these lipsticks a try, they retail around R120, which is reasonably worth it because you’re getting your money’s worth. However, if you don’t like your lips to feel waxy or heavy, I wouldn’t recommend this product for you.

  5. I didn’t even want to give these lipsticks one star! It is the crappiest product I have tried in my entire life and it saddens me to realise that it is not even that cheap. You can do a lot with R170!

So, this lipstick claims to be moisturizing, food-proof and long-lasting. It doesn’t fulfill any of those claims. In fact, it dried out my lips even more. It felt terrible on my lips as it has almost a plasticky consistency. It also collected around dry patches on my lips and definitely did not last through a meal.

    Awful product. Never buy this!
