I never liked the idea of a cleansing oil until I tried one, and the reason I haven’t been sticking to using one is because I struggled to find one that’s affordable. I couldn’t justify spending upwards of R300 on something that does nothing more than remove my make-up! So imagine my delight when I came across this treasure – I’m already a big fan of their camomile eye make-up remover, so I new this would be gentle on my skin.
And just as I suspected, the product works wonders. You only need a little bit to cover your face, and as you massage the oil onto your skin, you can literally see the make-up “melting” off. After a few minutes I add some water, massage and then rinse it off. My skin is left completely make-up free, and ready for my cleanser. It’s safe to use on your eyes too, which is great as I have sensitive eyes from wearing contacts, yet it doesn’t burn or sting.
I’ve noticed that ever since I have been using it, I never have mascara stains on my pillow anymore, and my skin feels cleaner and has less breakouts. Definitely on top of my list of recommendations!

An amazing makeup remover! Quick, easy, gentle and doesn’t leave skin feeling oily. Already on my second bottle.
I am a big fan of double cleansing in the evening and this cleansing oil is the best I’ve used. I’ve tried most of the high end cleansing butters and oils, and this one from The Body Shop wins hands down each time.
The pump action bottle is great for dispensing just the right amount of product into your hand and the feel on your skin is wonderfully silky. This takes off any amount of make up in a few seconds with almost no effort. I am not a fan of tugging at my eyes with cotton pads and make up remover, so this gently massaging action with the cleansing oil suits me perfectly. When rinsing your face the oil turns milky, so it is not hard to remove at all.
The smell is not overpowering at all and is very soothing to me. One bottle generally lasts me about 3 months with everyday use so the value considering the great price tag is phenomenal.
I use this as a pre-cleanse to remove all my make up and then follow up with a facial brush and cleanser.
I swear by this cleanser, it removes ALL my makeup with ease while being gentle on the eyes. It has a pleasant herbal scent. I use my usual face wash afterwards to remove the slight oily residue.
I adore this oil, it is my all. It has a slight scent to it but nothing artificial or heavy. It’s a loose oil consistency and it is effective. It takes off everything, even those stubborn three coats of mascara is no match for the magic in this oil. I feel more confident wearing a full face of makeup knowing that this baby will get every single thing off and my skin will be hydrated, glowy and not feel stripped.
I like to rub this all over my face and eyes (it does sting a little if you get it into your eyeball so try not to) and then with damp hands massage the skin. I find that once water is added to this oil, it emulsifies and turns “milky”. I then wipe my face with a baby wipe and rinse well with luke warm water. I like the pump nozzle but I find that sometimes the bottle gets a bit oily when I shake it before use. But that is minor when compared to the wonders it has done for my take-off-my-makeup routine.
This product is an absolute win. It leaves the skin clean, soft and delicately scented. I thought initially it would be a pre-cleansing oil like Dermalogica or Environ’s precleanse, but it’s so effective I feel it’s a stand alone cleanser that’s both gentle and effective.
I read on a blog that this was a dupe for the famous Dermalogica precleanse oil and was excited to give it a try! It is amazing and really gets your makeup off properly – I use the Camomile gentle eyemakeup remover, then this on my skin, followed by my regular cleanser and my skin has been so great!
