What we say:
Spring is in the air and The Body Shop nail polish in Rosy Cheeks is a perfect colour for the change of season.  After applying a good quality base coat, I applied two coats of colour and was left with a perfect peachy coral colour. Finished with a quick drying top coat, I had great spring nails! The Body Shop nail polish is not as long wearing as a few of my other trusted brands, but the colour is so lovely that I really didn’t mind.  The brush is great and ensures precise application.

The Body Shop is known for not including harmful ingredients in their products, and their nail polishes are fee from formaldehyde etc, making this a vegan friendly polish. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the other colours available in this range!

The Body Shop is killing it with new launches at the moment, and the one launch that I am definitely most excited about is their new line of nail polish. In my opinion, The Body Shop is always consistent with the quality of their products so I had high expectations for their polishes.

Unfortunately I was a little bit let down by the polish. I tried a gorgeous pastel mint shade called Mint Cream. Being such a light shade, it requires 3 coats to reach the opacity of the nail polish in the bottle, and by coat 3 things were starting to look a little bit too tacky. I used the usual top coat/base/coat & drying drops that I usually do, but after 15 minutes, my nails were still nowhere near as dry as they would have been with another polish.

The formula of the polish is good though, so I will definitely try one of the darker shades that only requires 2 coats. With the wide range of shades available, I am sure I will find one I like.

  1. I recently bought two of the Colour crush Nail Polishes, a mint colour and a bluish-purple colour. I must say there is a nice variety of colours to choose from. They do dry fairly fast. They are quite light when applied, so I suggest putting two or three layers on. For myself, I like a light nail polish compared to a very opaque heavy one. The colour glides on smoothly and dries without definite lines.
