I really wanted to instantly love this mascara because I’ve used other Rimmel mascaras in the past and adored them, but it took a while to grow on me.
The broken heart-shaped brush is tricky to use, although I get where they’re going with it. My initial thoughts were that the mascara goes on far too thickly and has the tendency to get messy, but with a bit of practice I managed to get it right.
I do have naturally long lashes so the issue of getting mascara on my top lid is a real problem, and made worse the size of the brush, which is designed to curve to your lash line and pump them up.
Nevertheless, I haven’t written this mascara off completely and will continue using it. It’s great for an evening look when I usually wear darker eye makeup.
