Application and Formula:
It is a gorgeous peachy neutral shade even though Essie describes Mamba as a “shimmering café au lait”. Generally you will need 2 coats in order for it to look opaque but I personally prefer 3 coats. Considering that it is a light colour, it is quite impressive the coverage you get with two coats. It is important to mention that this nail polish is a creamy consistency and has no shine to it. You need a glossy top coat in order to get a good shine.

Wearability:
As most Essie nail polish, Mamba can last for about a week or until you decide to change the colour. Since this is a sort of nude nail polish, when it does chip, it is not that noticeable.

Verdict:
If you are looking for a shade to use just so you have nail polish on your nails and not have anything too bold, then this is a colour worth considering. What I love about this colour is that it is ideal for the office/campus as well as for any season. It really is a sophisticated colour.
