I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden. I am not a huge fan of the 8 hour Protectants, however.
About six years ago, Edgars had a promotional offer on this line and I bought the entire range. The most disappointing in the line was the Lip Protectant. It basically does the exact same thing as the Eight Hour Cream (just slightly less sticky) but far more expensive by volume. One could argue that the handy packaging makes all the difference, but I think you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who hasn’t been able to fit the cream into their handbag.
It has the same medical smell as the cream, basically the same texture once applied and has the exact same effect on moisturizing the lips.
If you are a fan of the Eight Hour line of products, save yourself the trouble and buy the cream instead – it is much better value for money.
That being said, the tinted version does add an alluring tint to lips – but I reiterate: you should be a fan of the original product, as it is still the same formula.
