JOHNSON’S® Hydration Essentials

Johnson & johnson Hydration Essentials

Why is it important to keep your skin hydrated?
Proper hydration is important for the healthy functioning of skin. It helps to keep it looking supple and helps maintain the barrier integrity of the skin, strengthening it against environmental stress.

Are all face creams essentially the same?
No, they are not. Face creams designed for normal or combination skin have a higher water than oil content to keep skin hydrated without leaving an oily residue. Creams formulated for dry skin have a richer texture and a higher oil content.

Tips for keeping normal / combination skin hydrated without feeling oily:

– Choose cleansers and moisturisers specifically formulated for your skin type.
– Drink plenty of water.
– If you work in an air conditioned office or travel by air, apply a hydrating mask to boost moisture.

  1. I have just bought the new Johnson hydration essentials face range and I’m going to use it for a week now.
My experience with the wipes – very moisturising. They leave my skin soft and silk but my main concern was that I had a tickling sensation a few minutes after using them. I was expecting to develop rush or acne but I did not and my face wasn’t oily either. Overall I like them and I will definitely purchase them again.

Facial cleanser – a little goes a long way. It removes the grease and leaves my face feeling fresh, free of oil and yet not dry and tight as other products I have used in the past do. I’m impressed with Johnson. I don’t mind the smell of the cleanser as long as it does the job well, I also love the packaging.

Facial gel or mask – smells amazing like the wipes. I use a very small amount as instructed. It leaves my skin soft, free from oil which is a bonus as I have oily combination skin. I hope these products do not disappoint in the long run as this is my first day of using them but so far so good. I’m happy! ladies I urge you to try this range. I also noticed that they have a similar range for dry skin but in pink packaging.

  2. I am currently using the Facial Gel. I have oily skin in my T- Zone and dry in the rest. This product was amazing. It left my skin soft and hydrated without that greasy ‘thick’ feeling. Worked well with my foundation even when I don’t use a primer. Love it.

  3. I combination/oily skin however I sometimes feel that ‘oil-free’ products can dry my skin out on the ‘combination areas’ to a point that I get dry patches on the side of my face, along my mouth area and neck. I have started using this skincare routine on weekends and at night to keep my skin hydrated and supple. It sounds like a lot of work to follow 2 different ‘skin plans’ but I am happy with the results. Thanks for this post!!!
