I have uneven skin tone resulting from light scarring from adolescent acne, as well as hormonal pigmentation from oral contraceptives. As a result, I am always searching for the perfect foundation that gives beautiful coverage whilst still allowing my skin to look and feel natural. I have over 10 different foundations in my makeup collection and this is the best I’ve ever used. I apply it with my fingertips when I want sheer coverage, with a kabuki brush when I want that “airbrushed” look, and with a damp beauty blender when I want good coverage but a more natural/dewy/summery look and finish. It works excellently regardless of how you apply it. It is very easy to blend, doesn’t streak, doesn’t crease, doesn’t budge all day long (even when you don’t use powder) and really gives a perfectly smooth, flawless finish to the skin. It’s not cakey or thick and it doesn’t look like it’s sitting on top of the skin. I honestly cant recommend this product enough! I always make sure to re-purchase this foundation when I have about 1/4 of the current bottle left, because I cannot go without it. I have quite sensitive skin and this foundation has never broken my skin out or irritated it. For around R400, I think it’s excellent value for money, especially considering that Clarins is a high-end brand that is not only concerned with covering your skin, but more importantly, looking after your skin.
